Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457)

For employers to sponsor approved skilled workers on a temporary visa.Employers can nominate a number of positions for different occupations under the same sponsorship application.

General Skilled Visa

This visa is suitable for people who are well qualified with work experience in their field.It aims to meet Australia’s skills shortages and gives successful applicants permanent residence. This visa is appropriate for those who hold a university qualification or trade qualifications.

Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186)

For highly skilled workers.The (ENS) allows employers to sponsor highly skilled workers to fill skilled vacancies in their business. The vacancies can be filled by either skilled workers from overseas, or temporary residents who are living and working in Australia.

Employer Sponsored Workers

For workers sponsored by an employer with recognised skills.

Temporary: For employers to employ approved skilled workers for temporary vacancies in particular occupations required in Australia. These can eventually lead to being eligible for a permanent visa.

Permanent: For Australian employers to sponsor skilled workers in specific occupations required in Australia.
